First Responders are there for us, the public, 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year. These men and women show up regardless of the situation, whether it is a medical emergency, a safety issue, a natural disaster, or a catastrophe. Can you imagine dialing 911 when you are in an emergency, and nobody answers the phone, and no one responds to the call? They are ALWAYS there for us. But who is there for them? The Unified Wellness Center team is there to support First Responders 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year.
Treatment for First Responders
First Responders are subjected to stressful situations and trauma daily. Over time, these events take a toll on their emotional, physical and mental well-being. The Unified Wellness Center is built on the hard evidence that civilian treatment centers do not work for First Responders. Instead, we utilize a treatment program created by First Responders for First Responders. We treat trauma, addiction, and the mental health challenges associated with life as a First Responder.
If recovery is to be successful, sensitive issues must be treated in a setting that sets an atmosphere that creates and holds trust and confidentiality. At The Unified Wellness Center, our program is exclusively for First Responders. Treatment is done with their peers. Thus, establishing a level of trust and security that enables them to open up and be honest. Openness and honesty are basic tenets of recovery.
